COURSE SUMMARY: This two-day advanced vestibular course targets clinicians who are wanting to dive deeper into the inner workings of central vestibular pathways and their key role in oculomotor and postural control. Using a combination of lectures and case studies, this course will equip participants with high level clinical reasoning skills and differential diagnosis of conditions not commonly covered at introductory and basic competency training. There will be a firm emphasis on contemporary literature to guide assessment, treatment strategies and management plans.

    • Parkinson’s / Parkinson’s Plus
  • Central vestibular bedside examination
  • Central vestibular diagnostics
  • Acute Vestibular Syndrome in emergency settings
  • Rehabilitation Principles for central vestibular presentations
  • Case-based learning

 

Recommended prior education and experience in vestibular rehabilitation and/or neurological physiotherapy (please note the basics of the bedside vestibular examination is assumed knowledge)

 

Pre-readings will be supplied prior to the course. Lecture notes will be supplied in a manual on the day.

Vestibular Education Australia are not liable for any personal costs associated with flights/accommodation if a course needs to be cancelled. Self-cancellations before registration closing date will incur a $50 administration fee. Payments will be non-refundable for self-cancellations after registration closing date unless you are unwell with COVID-19 symptoms – in this case a full refund or course credit will be applied.
